Indian states and union territories ranked by prevalence of open defecation
This is a list of Indian states and territories ranked by their relative prevalence of open defecation in both urban and rural areas. Figures are from a national sanitation survey conducted from May-June 2015 by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and released in April 2016. Results from states and union territories with less than 20 initial sampling groups (first stage units) have their results grouped with the national average.[1]
