Indraprastha Gas Limited (Hindi: इंद्रप्रस्थ गैस लिमिटेड) (IGL), is one of India's leading natural gas distribution companies. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in the National Capital Region (NCR) of New Delhi.
History
IGL was incorporated in 1998, to take over and operate the Delhi City Gas Distribution Project from GAIL for laying a network of gas distribution pipelines in the NCR. The company started as a joint venture between GAIL and Bharat Petroleum.
The company went public in 2003, listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange.[2]

Operations
As of March 2016, IGL supplied piped natural gas to over 660,000 homes and over 1500 of commercial and industrial establishments in the NCR. It also operates 416 CNG filling stations for natural gas vehicles.[3]
IGL sources gas via the HVJ Gas Pipeline of GAIL.
