Inma Shara
Inma Shara (Inmaculada Lucia Saratxaga, born 1972 in Amurrio, Spain) is a Spanish orchestral conductor.
Biography
Shara plays 40 to 50 concerts a year as a professional conductor.[1] Some of her most recent commitments included her collaboration with some of the best orchestras in the world, such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the London City Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rome Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Milan Symphony Orchestra, l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (Switzerland), the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Parma Symphony Orchestra, the Ukraine National Symphony Orchestra, among many other orchestras… including the most important Spanish Orchestras. In addition to collaborate with great soloists as renowned as Mischa Maisky, Boris Berezovsky and Shlomo Mintz, among others.
Inma Shara has been collaborating, since October 2007, with the Swiss manufacture of prestige watches Vacheron Constantin, patron of young talented artists. Vacheron Constantin has strongly bet for her as its worldwide image and Cultural ambassador for the next three years. Under the sponsor of this company, she conducted a concert in Madrid, with the attendance of her Majesty, the Queen Sophie, whose profits were entirely used for the Queen Sophie Foundation and its project "Alzheimer".
December 2008 she conducted a concert in the Vatican City chaired by His Holiness Benedict XVI, in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
She has recently been awarded with the prize to the European Excellence for her international renown and her contribution to classical music, likewise she has been named "Spain Brand Honorary Ambassador" prestigious award from the Leading Brands of Spain Forum as one of the most brilliant representatives of the new generation of Spain’s orchestra conductors and her career. In addition to being invited by the European Commission and the SEEI to conduct the concert that has meant the closing day of Europe in the World Expo 2010 in Shanhgái, on 9 May, at the head of the European Union Youth Orchestra. With the prestigious record label, Sony Music, she is working on several recording projects, the first was released in late 2010 "La Isla de los sonidos" and the second, in late 2011, "La isla de los sonidos: La Ciudad sin Luz".
