Ioan Mircea Pașcu (born 17 February 1949 in Satu Mare) is a Romanian politician, a Member of the European Parliament and a former Minister of Defense in the Adrian Năstase cabinet. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party, part of the Party of European Socialists, and became an MEP on 1 January 2007 with the accession of Romania to the European Union. In 12.11.2014 was appointed Vice-President of the European Parliament[3][4]
