The Double Kidney (Ipimorpha retusa) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in most of Europe. In the east, the range extends through Turkey, Siberia, Mongolia and China to Korea and Japan. The habitat consists of damp marshy places.
The wingspan is 28–32 mm. The ground colour of the forewings ranges from reddish brown to dark brown. The hindwings are greyish brown. Adults are on wing from July to September.
The larvae feed on Salix and Populus species, spinning together the shoots. They can be found from May to June. The species overwinters as an egg.
