Jad Capelja
Jad Capelja (1964 – 10 January 2010) was an Australian actress best known for her role in the 1981 teen film Puberty Blues, based upon the novel of the same name. She also played the female leading role in Scott Hicks's road film Freedom, the first feature film to be written and directed entirely by South Australians.
Capelja, born to Czechoslovakian parents, retired from acting in the late 1980s. She later struggled with addiction and was diagnosed with paranoid scizophrenia.
Capelja committed suicide on 10 January 2010. She has a son, Miles Muecke, from her marriage to Richard Muecke.
