James Bracey (born 17 September 1984), in Gosford, New South Wales) is an Australian sports journalist.
Bracey is currently a reporter and presenter at Sky News Australia.
Career
Bracey commenced as a producer at Sky News at age 19 in April 2004[1][2] whilst he was studying a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at the University of Newcastle.[3] He also attended the Max Rowley Media Academy.[4] After graduating he joined the Sky News team in a full-time capacity.
Bracey has covered the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, 2012 London Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.[5][6][1]
He was awarded Swimming Australia’s 2008 Media Award for his coverage.[7]
In January 2013, Bracey was appointed presenter of a new sports show on Sky News Australia titled SportsNight with James Bracey.[8]
In 2014, Bracey hosted the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards.[9] Bracey is also a regular panelist on The Last Word.
Personal life
Bracey lives in the Sydney suburb of Cammeray with his wife Margot, whom he married in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2012, and their golden retriever Ace.[10]
