James F. Layson
James Forbes Layson (October 8, 1900 – July 7, 1963) was an American play actor.
Layson was born in Michigan, he went to a high school near Detroit, and attended the University of Michigan. His father was William Layson (an engineer) and his mother was Catherine Stewart (a teacher). He had no siblings at the time of his childhood.
Layson was a minor play actor during the 20th century (1932–1946), and did plays in some parts of Michigan.
Layson married Laura Ann Peterson in 1929; they had three children. Peterson was married to Layson until his death in 1963, and then became his widow; she never married until her death in 1979.
James is of Danish, German and English descent.
Forbes Layson died on July 7, 1963, in New York City, of a heart attack in his home. His burial is unknown.
