James d'Orma Braman
James d'Orma "Dorm" Braman (December 23, 1901 – August 1980) was the 45th mayor of Seattle, Washington from 1964 to 1969. He was the last Republican mayor of Seattle.[1] There is currently no distinction between Democrat and Republican mayors in Seattle. The election is non-partisan and no political parties are listed on the ballot. Previously, mayors were elected for a term of four years, but because of a change in the date of election to odd-numbered years, Braman served five and a half years.
