Janice K. McGeachin (born January 18, 1963 in Las Cruces, New Mexico)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2002 representing District 32 in the A seat.[2] McGeachin announced on February 24, 2012 that she would not be seeking re-election.
Education
McGeachin graduated from Skyline High School and earned her bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from University of Arizona.
Elections
- 2002 When Republican Representative Larry C. Bradford was re-districted to 31A, McGeachin was unopposed for the May 28, 2002, Republican primary, winning with 3,355 votes,[3] and was unopposed for the November 5, 2002, general election, winning with 11,612 votes.[4]
- 2004 Unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Republican primary, McGeachin won with 2,337 votes,[5] and was unopposed for the November 2, 2004, general election, winning with 14,654 votes.[6]
- 2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, McGeachin won with 3,495 votes,[7] and won the November 7, 2006, general election with 10,848 votes (71.19%) against Democratic nominee Scott Cannon.[8]
- 2008 Unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, McGeachin won with 2,641 votes; Cannon was unopposed for the Democratic primary, setting up a rematch.[9] McGeachin won the November 4, 2008, general election with 15,090 votes (73.0%) against Cannon.[10]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, McGeachin won with 4,564 votes,[11] and was unopposed for the November 2, 2010, general election, winning with 13,121 votes.[12]
