Career
In 1991, at the age of 19, he founded Dazed & Confused with photographer Rankin while a student at London College of Printing. Early cover stars included Björk, Thom Yorke and David Bowie. In 2001, Hack and Rankin launched luxury biannual AnOther Magazine, and in 2005 they launched Another Man, with Hack as editor-in-chief of both. In 2006 Hack and Rankin launched Dazed Digital to deliver daily exclusives in fashion, film, music and art. Three years later, Hack created Anothermag.com, a blend of high fashion and photography with features on the arts, politics and literature, as well as AnOther Loves, a luxury product recommendation stream chosen by a global network of contributors.
In 2013, Hack launched Dazed White Label, the creative agency wing of Dazed Group, which specialises in making digital, video, print, events and social media for brands, and Dazed Vision, the group’s video arm, to develop, produce and commission long-form video content. Dazed & Confused was rebranded as simply Dazed in spring 2014.
In 2013, Hack was appointed as U2's creative director.
