Jensen is a surname of German origin.
The history of the Jensen family began in the kingdom of Schleswig, Western Germany. Developed at a time when most of Germany's provinces were states of the Holy Roman Empire.[1]
Immigrants to English-speaking countries often change the spelling to Jenson in order to accommodate English orthographic rules.
The Jensen name is of Germanic origin and is predominantly popular in the Scandinavian region, mainly Denmark.
