Jerry L. Ogles is the Metropolitan Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Orthodox Church. Ogles was ordained to the diaconate by Bishop Robert J. Godfrey on April 27, 1997. He was ordained to the presbyterate in August 1999. Ogles was then consecrated as bishop for the United States on October 22, 2000, at St. Peter's Anglican Orthodox Church in Statesville, North Carolina, by the bishop of the Anglican Church of India (ACI), the Rt. Rev'd Thomas Karikkuzhy, and by the Rt. Rev'd Isaac P.B. Mokoena, the Bishop of South Africa. During the 2002 convention of the AOC Ogles was installed as Presiding Bishop and Metropolitan of the incorporated international Anglican Orthodox Church. The Anglican Orthodox Church seeks to faithfully follow in the tradition of Bishop James Parker Dees who founded the Orthodox Anglican Church in the early 1960s. Through its international communion the Anglican Orthodox Church has fellowship with sister churches in Africa, Asia, Pakistan, India, the Islands of the South Pacific, Canada, and South America.
