John Ellison (bishop)
John Alexander Ellison (born 1940) was the Anglican Bishop of Paraguay from 1988 to 2007.[1]
Ellison was educated at the London College of Divinity and ordained in 1968,[2] he began his career with Curacies at St Paul’s Woking[3] and St Saviours Belgrano, Buenos Aires. In 1983 he was appointed Vicar of St Mary the Virgin Aldridge, a post he held until his appointment to the episcopate. Having retired, he is now an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Winchester.[4]
