Jon Acuff
Jon Acuff is an American author of five books including Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck.,[1] Quitter: Closing the Gap Between Your Day Job & Your Dream Job,[2] and Start: Punch Fear in the Face, Escape Average and Do Work that Matters.[3] Acuff also runs the blog StuffChristiansLike.net, which has over 3 million readers.[4][5]
Career
In 2010 Acuff "closed the gap between his day job and his dream job" when he was hired by Dave Ramsey as a full-time speaker and author.[6] The first book he wrote for Dave Ramsey’s company was titled Gazelles, Baby Steps & 37 Other Things Dave Ramsey Taught Me About Debt.[7]
In September 2013, Acuff abruptly resigned from Dave Ramsey's company. He called his time working for Ramsey "the three greatest years of our professional life." [8]
Personal life
Acuff resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife, Jenny, and two children. In November 2009, he used his blog to raise $60,000 to build a kindergarten in Vietnam[9] and he is currently working with Thistle Farms, a social enterprise in Nashville, Tennessee, that helps women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, and addiction.[10]
