K'Waun Lamar Williams (KAY-wawn; born July 12, 1991) is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh and attended Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey.[1] He has been a member of the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Williams played high school football for the Saint Joseph Regional High School Green Knights. He played running back, wide receiver and corner back. He was an All-New Jersey selection. Williams recorded 32 tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, four rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns his senior year.[1]
College career
Williams played from 2010 to 2013 with the Pittsburgh Panthers.[1]
Professional career
Williams was rated the 92nd best cornerback in the 2014 NFL Draft by NFLDraftScout.com.[2]

He was signed by the Cleveland Browns on May 20, 2014 after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft.[3] He made his NFL debut on September 7, 2014 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording three tackles.[4] Williams played in thirteen games, starting four, during the 2014 season, recording 29 solo tackles, nine tackle assists, one sack and eight pass breakups.[5]
He appeared in thirteen games, starting six, in 2015, totaling 30 solo tackles, eight tackle assists, one sack, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.[5]
He chose to sit out the team's first preseason game of the 2016 season on August 12, 2016 due to an ankle injury.[6] On August 18, 2016, the Browns then suspended Williams for two weeks and fined him for violating team rules.[7] He was released by the Browns on August 29, 2016.[8]
He signed with the Chicago Bears on August 30, 2016.[9] However, the contract was voided after Williams failed a physical.[10]
