Kanmanoor is a Village in Peddamandadi Mandal, Mahbubnagar district, Telangana State. It is 118 kilometres (73 mi) from the state capital of Hyderabad.
Introduction
Kanmanoor has more than 4,000 residents. The main source of income for the people is agriculture. Most of the farmers cultivate their fields depending upon the rain water, while less take water from bore-wells. Ground water is limited for this location which is the reason most of the people have migrated to cities like Hyderabad and Bombay in the search of opportunities to earn money. The people go to nearby town Kothakota to purchase their agriculture related things and their daily needs. the government of Andhra Pradesh started a bus service from town Kothakota to Kanmanoor in the early 1990s and the service is terminated after few years. At present seven seated autos are other main source of transportation.
After completing high school, most of the youth become as an entrepreneurs, Kanmanoor is also having NRI's, govt officers, Engineers, Medicos and Artists.
Schools
In early 2000s the government of Andhra Pradesh promoted the Upper Primary school to Zilla Parishad High School(Z.P.H.S) children from surrounding villages come to this school to pursue there education till 10th class. This school has been serving the Kanmanoor Village and the surrounding villages for more than 30 years and produced many Teachers, Doctors, Engineers, and Business men. There are other private school and Two Anganwadi schools give pre-nursery education for the children of this village.

Youth club
A youth club called Nava Bharatha Yuvajana Sangham exists in Kanmanoor, conducting seasonal cricket and volleyball tournaments, education and village development awareness programs.
Halls
In addition to Youth club, Kanmanoor has S.C community hall, B.C community Hall, a Library, a food shop and Grama Panchayath Bhawan.
Festival celebrations
Though Hindu outnumber Muslims in Kanmanoor, the residents celebrate all festivals as a single family. Muslims used to participate in the celebrations festivals of (Ganesh Chavthi), Dussera and Sankranthi along with Hindus and Hindus also used to do dances for Moharram.
This gives the impact of secularism and brotherhood among the people of Kanmanoor.
Mythological dramas are also played by people of this village every summer.
Temples
There exists one Lord Shiva and Hanuman temple in Kanmanoor, where as Nava grahas also a part of it.
