Kamala Kumari Kareddula was an Indian Parliamentarian, Union Minister of India and was a Member of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Govt of India - a Statutory Body under the President of India.[1]
She was initially elected to the 9th Lok Sabha as a Member of Parliament (MP) in 1989. She was re-elected the second time to the 10th Lok Sabha as a Member of Parliament (MP) from Bhadrachalam constituency in 1991. She was then appointed as a Union Minister for Welfare, Govt of India in 1991.
She has worked for the Tribal upliftment by opening of schools and hostels and by promoting simple marriage ceremonies.
She was member of Indian Nursing Council since 28 March 1990.
