Kashmir House is the former residence of the Maharajah of Kashmir in Delhi, India.[1] It is located on Prithviraj Road.
It was designed by Walter Sykes George (1881-1962), with significant early input from Sir Edwin Lutyens, the builder of New Delhi. The house was designed for the wealthy Hindu banker Sultan Sing, but his untimely death before the project was completed resulted in it being sold to the maharajah of Patiala. It was later sold to the state of Kashmir.[2]
It is used today by the army.
