Kashmora (English: A Powerful Black Magic) is a 1986 Telugu, Horror, Suspense Thiller produced by M. Sudhakar Reddy on Ushodhaya Movies banner and directed by S.B. Chakravarthy.[2] Starring Rajendra Prasad, Dr.Rajasekhar, Bhanupriya in the lead roles and music composed by Chakravarthy.[3] The film recorded as Super Hit at the box office.[4]
Plot
The movie begins with three people Sridhar (Sarath Babu), Jaya Dev (Sridhar), Abraka Dabra (Nutan Prasad) killing a sorcerer Khadra (Bheemaraju) at a remote village Bista to protect Sridhar’s sister Thulasi (Bhanu Priya) from Kashmora a powerful evil spirit of black magic. Vishachi (Rajanala) the head of these wizards trains an another powerful sorcerer Darkha (Rajendra Prasad) to kill these 3 individuals. Dharka takes an oath to his master that he will kill the 3 of them, first one psychologically, the second one with his black magic and last one by his own hands. Vishachi informs him that the only source to find these 3 people is Thulasi, that too within an year since Kashmora would wake up and kill Thulasi if he delays. After facing a lot of troubles Darkha reaches the city. A priest (PJ Sarma) takes pity and educates him on how to live in the modern society but not before he finds that Darkha is a black magic sorcerer; he makes Darkha take an oath that he will never misuse his power on innocent people. Taking his leave, he starts in search of his targets, Dr. Rambabu (Dr.Rajashekar) son of Jayadev, Shadow (Shubhaleka Sudhakar) brother of Abraka Dabra, Thulasi who are also good friends who live happily with their families.
Siddeshwari (Jaya Chitra) is a fake god woman, who displays "supernatural powers" i.e. parlor tricks to cheat people. Thulasi challenges with her friends that she will bring out the reality of Siddeshwari into the public. At the same time, Siddeshwari comes to know Darkha is a real sorcerer, she kidnaps him to use his abilities to increase her following, but he does not agree due to the word he had given to the priest. So she decides to kill him, eventually Thulasi intervenes and protects him with the help of Shadow and exposes Siddeshwari’s true nature to the public. Police try to arrest her but she manages to escape. Darkha comes to know that the girl who protected him is one he is searching for. From her he finds out the other 3 i.e. Sridhar, Jayadev, Abraka Dabra and proceeds with his plan to kill them in three methods he promised. Simultaneously, Siddeshwari also takes an oath to kill Thulasi, Darkha, Shadow for exposing her.
Siddeshwari is trying to take revenge on them through Rambabu by hypnotizing him. First She targets Thulasi, Rambabu dairy gives slow poisonous injections to her. On the other hand, Darkha also starts his revenge; he tries to kill his first enemy Sridhar by black magic but unfortunately Sridhar’s daughter Archana (Baby Seeta) dies, where Darkha’s realization starts towards humanity & goodness. Meanwhile, Thulasi’s health becomes wrest day by day due to slow poison & awaking of Kashmora. Darkha reaches his second enemy Abraka Dabra and as per the oath he tries to suffer him psychologically by killing his wife (Anitha) with black magic, but here a shocking incident Abraka Debra's wife father is none other than the priest who had thought Darkha regarding the life, he reverses the black magic as a result priest dies. The death of the priest completely changes Darkha and he promises before his dead body that he will never ever harm any creature and he will live & die for humanity.
After that, he, unfortunately, falls into clutches of a Siddeshwari but manages to escape from her den. Darkha reaches Shadow and tells that Siddeshwari is trying to take revenge on them and she is also trying to kill Thulasi by hypnotizing Rambabu. Shadow mimicks Siddeshwari and gets to know that Rambabu has indeed injected Thulasi. Now Sridhar, Jayadev, Abraka Dabra, Shadow brings back Rambabu to normal condition by re-hypnotizing and they also try to catch Siddeshwari. Simultaneously, 1 year period completes and Kashmora attacks Thulasi. Darkha tries to stop Kashmora using his skills. In the meanwhile, Sridhar reaches Siddeshwari's location and enters into an argument and tells him regarding Darkha and his revenge. Finally, she gets her arrested, when Sridhar reaches home he sees Darkha is drawing a ‘’Sri Chakram’’ in Tulasi's room to protect her but Sridhar misunderstands Darkha stops him and he is beaten badly and thrown out of the house.
At the same time, Thulasi is missing; Sridhar comes to know of this and starts in search of Darkha. Thulasi has called to burial ground by Vishachi by black magic, who has arrived from Bista knowing the changing behavior of Darkha. Darkha also reaches there, both of them enter into an argument that Vishachi says he will kill Thulasi and Darkha says he will protect her in any circumstance. Finally, Darkha succeeds in stopping Kashmora by Atmarpanam offering his soul to it and also kills Vishachi. At the same time, Sridhar comes there due to the misunderstanding he shoots at Darkha with his pistol. Before dying Dharka says the fact that he has to die anyway for Kashmora and just remember him in their heart that a black magic wizard died for humanity.
