Katherine Walczak is an American television and comic book writer.

She is well known for her work with DC Comics' The Flash.

Career

Walczak's first entertainment industry job was as a boom operator on the 2009 short film At Bert's. She then worked as a production manager and associate producer on the short feature e.e., in 2013.

In 2013, she wrote and produced her first short, Aegis. The drama starred actress Jenna Lyng,[1] and was helmed by Charlie Buhler.

She has worked as an assistant to Arrow co-developer and executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, since 2012. She contributed story to several issues of the first season Arrow digital comic.[2]

The Flash

In July 2014, it was announced that Kreisberg, Walczak, and Brooke Eikmeier would write The Flash: Season Zero comic book  a prequel to the first season of The CW series, Arrow spin-off, The Flash.[2][3] She completed her run in January 2015.

She penned her first hour of television, with co-creator Kreisberg, on the thirteenth episode of the first season, "The Nuclear Man". The episode explored the origins of the titular hero.[4] During the second season, she co-wrote the third episode, "Family of Rogues", with co-producer Julian Meiojas.
