Kim Tinkler

Kim Tinkler is a lady flat jockey based in Malton, North Yorkshire. She is married to trainer Nigel Tinkler and she rides most of his runners. She had her first ride at Beverley in 1979, but she had to wait until 1985 when Wow Wow Wow gave her her first victory. She is most famous for her association with horses such as Mcgillycuddy reeks and Henry hall. Tinkler is one of a select band of women riders to have ridden 200 winners. She has her critics but her strike rate has improved and she seems to bring out the best in her mounts.
