Kim Wan-ju

This is a Korean name; the family name is Kim.

Wan-ju Kim (born 1946) has been governor of Jeollabuk-do since 2006. He was mayor of Jeonju in the Republic of Korea from 1998 to 2006. He is a strong proponent of regional development, historical preservation, new paradigms of local and decentralized government, and is considered one of the best of the new generation of South Korean leaders.
