Biography

A Native of Alexandria, VA [1] Krohme (often incorrectly listed as "Khrome") became interested in music at an early age. From playing classical instruments to mixing records on his mother’s turntable, he developed an ear for music. Utilizing his own diverse musical interests, which included hip-hop, soul, rock, heavy metal and classical, he began sampling records to develop a unique musical library that he extended to local artists and, eventually, unsigned artists along the east coast.

It wasn’t until [2] 2004 that Krohme began sending beat CDs off to record labels. Disappointed with a lack of response, he began reaching out to various artists and labels via the internet. He got in touch with GZA’s DJ and was able to get his music in the hands of the legendary MC as well as generate interest from other MC’s.

His first big break came when Hell Razah of Black Market Militia/Sunz of Man[2] asked Krohme to produce a track for his upcoming solo album, working under a tight deadline. The resulting track was well received and resulted in Hell-Razah requesting additional tracks.

Shortly after this, he became a member of Day by Day Entertainment and was managed by MF Grimm, who also included his production on the American Hunger album.

In the meantime, Krohme started Godsendant Music in February 2005 [1] and released the first album through the label and his first album, All Praises Due, with guest appearances from Royce da 5'9", MC Serch, Agallah, C-Rayz Walz, Hell-Razah, Chace Infinite, Triple Seis and more. The album has done well as an independent release selling 1000 copies in its first week.

He finalized his 3 year magnum opus, The Beasts Released Volume 1: South of Heaven, which featured Kool G Rap, Sean Price, Chino XL, Agallah, C-Rayz Walz, Hell Razah, Psycho Les, Atari Blitzkrieg, Lord Jamar, Rapper Pooh, Cappadonna, Killah Priest and additional artists. He is also working on albums for the several artists under Godsendant Music.

His music can be found on upcoming releases from Obie Trice, Ras Kass, Ill Bill, Killah Priest, Talib Kweli, MF Grimm, Shyheim, Shade Shiest, Hell Razah, Killa Sin, C-Rayz Walz, Timbo King, OuterSpace, Mr. SOS, Motion Man, Leathafase, Chico, Strong Arm Steady, Boom Bap Project, Magestik Legend, Atmosphere, Goretex, Mykill Myers, Jay 211, T-Flame and Young Famous. And has an upcoming collaboration album with Hell-Razah.[2] He produced the Ras Kass track – Hush Little Baby, the infamous diss towards Game [2] and later worked with Game on the remix to the Dezert Eez track, Gunz Out.

In addition to his work with other artists, he works heavily with Godsendant Music Artist, Atari Blitzkrieg who has been featured as an URB Next 1000 and has worked with countless artists and producers since his addition to the roster.[3] Including Blockhead, Nick Wiz, Bronze Nazareth, Louis Logic, Roc C, Vast Aire and more.

Krohme is also a member of the Wu-Tang affiliated groups, Lost Children of Babylon and Thug Angelz (as Kushiel)
