Krzysztof Pietroszek is a Polish/Canadian computer scientist and filmmaker, serving as Professor of Computer Science at California State University in the field of Human Computer Interaction.[1] His research evolves around designing interaction techniques for everyday devices to democratize access to virtual (VR), augmented (AR), and mixed reality.[2][3] He directs the CSUMB Game Research Lab.[4] As a filmmaker, he produced a Canadian feature Waiting for Summer and directed a number of short films.[5]
Biography
Pietroszek attended University of Wroclaw, graduating with a Master's degree in Computer Science. He received his M.F.A. in Film from York University, M.A in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. He is married and has three sons.
