Kumudavalli is a Gram panchayat in Palakoderu mandal situated about 1 km away from Bhimavaram City of West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Kumudavalli Gram Panchayat is one of the four ISO 9001:2008 certified villages in India.

Late Bhupathiraju Tirupathi Raju, founded village library in 1897 basically to educate the villagers and has taken up many remarkable missions such as women's education,literacy movements,eradication of untouchability etc. The library truly worked as Information hub besides working as Post office,Ayurveda clinic etc.He was known as Grandhalaya BHEESHMA.

Late Bhupathiraju Vissam Raju, father of Dr.Rama Raju and Sri Satyanarayana Raju, was a great philontrophist and encouraged and donated liberally to the growth of education in the tiny village in 1940's.

Late Bhupathiraju Ramamurthy Raju,brother of Tirupathi Raju, was a freedom fighter and Congress leader.His contributions to Bhimavaram Urban Cooperative Bank and many canal developments in the vicinity,fight with AP Government against water cess etc. are some of them.Comrade Puchalapalli Sundaraiah spent more than a year (after the defeat of Communists in AP Elections)and regarded Sri Ramamurthy raju as his second Political Guru.Combination of Ramamurthy Raju, Comrade Sundaraiah and Vavila Gopala Krishnaih and their fight against anti farmers policies have brought many changes in the policies of the government.

Late Sagiraju Rajamraju ,was a veteran actor and choreographer who acted in more than a 1000 films and won nandhi award for the best actor , for the movie 1940 Lo Oka Gramam.

VIPASSANA Dhyana Centre is second largest in the state which was contributed by Sri Bhupathiraju Suryanarayana Raju

The village has contributed directly or indirectly to the Nation in many ways.
