The Silver drummer (Kyphosus sydneyanus), is a species of sea chub native to the Pacific Ocean from Australia to New Zealand where it occurs in shallow waters on rocky reefs. This species can reach a length of up to 80 centimetres (31 in) TL, and they may weigh up to 1.1 kilograms (2.4 lb). This species is important as a food fish for local indigenous peoples.[1]
