LP Da Original is a hip-hop artist from Toronto, Canada, who is signed to G7 Records—a subsidiary enterprise of Global 7 Entertainment Inc. LP has collaborated with rapper Kwajo Cinqo, of two-time Juno Award winning Canadian hip-hop group Ghetto Concept. He has also been featured in Reema Major’s I Am Legend mixtape single “Downtown Life”,[1] and has worked alongside JJ Money on JJ's Time Is Money mixtape single "Swagga Kidz".[2] No Organization No Progress, is the title of LP's mixtape which is soon to be released, features lead singles "Fresh Out Da Trap" and "Till Da Pack Gone" feat. rapper Banana Clip[3][4]

While LP is referred to as “The sickest young boy North of the Border” representing Jamestown—one of the Toronto's most reputable hoods, his Latino heritage traces to his South American roots in the country of El Salvador. His name was coined after his older brother who was nicknamed “Pun”—this relation influenced others to call him “Little Pun”, which in effect, led his alias to emerge into his present rap name which is now LP Da Original.

Music

After having lived out real life circumstances, LP’s rap music speaks of real life street tales that listeners can connect to like those on singles including "Till Da Pack Gone" featuring rapper Banana Clip.[5][6][7] and "Fresh Out Da Trap".[8][9] However, as an artist his music has bridged beyond lyrical fiction as a result of direct encounters in life that have shaped him as an artist and have influenced much of his musical content. Furthermore, with the release of his debut mixtape No Organization No Progress, LP Da Original has earned the ears of listeners with additional collaborations on singles including "Betty Crocker" feat. French Montana of Bad Boy Records,[10] "Eyez Lo" feat. Reema Major and "Soul Already Dead" feat. Atlanta rapper Trouble.
