Larisa Ivanovna Malevannaya (Russian: Лари́са Ива́новна Малева́нная) is a Russian film and theater actress, theater director, and writer.[1]
Biography and career
Malevannaya was born January 22, 1939 in the village of Fedorovka Neklinovsky District of Rostov Oblast.[2] Initially, she graduated from the Pedagogical Institute, and only then she come to a theatrical institution. In 1965, Malevannaya graduated from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (course of Alexander Musil - directing and course of Arkady Katzman- acting skills). Since 1965, she has worked in the Krasnoyarsk Youth Theatre as an actress and director. Around this time, Malevannaya marries director Gennady Oporkov.
In 1968, Malevannaya moved to Leningrad and began working at the Lensoviet Academic Theatre. In 1971, she transferred to the Leningrad Theater of the Lenin Komsomol, where her husband was appointed chief director. In 1976, Malevannaya split from her husband and, at the invitation of George Tovstonogov, moved to the Bolshoi Drama Theater, where she worked until 2007. In the years 1984-1988, Malevannaya worked at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in the position of associate professor of acting, course leader; in 1988, she released the actor's course.
In 1984, Malevannaya appeared in the BDT set piece "Daughter", by Valentine Krymka, as well as "Sparklers", by Arkady Averchenko. From 1988 to 1993, Malevannaya was head of Municipal Drama Theater of Vasilyevsky Island.
She is also the author of three published books.
Personal life
Son - Alexander Oporkov, programmer. Three grandchildren. With the second husband of Larisa Malevannaya she lived 20 years.
