Leslie James Bettinson is a former rugby league player, coach and administrator. He played 319 games for Salford, between 1957 and 1969 including a stint as captain, later coaching them from 1973-1977 and serving as team manager and director. He would later be team manager for Great Britain in 1988 and would publish a book In the Lions' Den: The Rebirth of Great Britain in Rugby League. He was also the RFL's inaugural President, and has been Chair of the Coaching Committee.
He was manager of the 1988 Great Britain Lions tour.
