Lì (莉) is an Ancient Chinese surname, among the Hui people of Yunnan Province.[1] However the Baijiaxing (百家姓) does not have the surname "莉" as it is not an ethnic Han Chinese family.
Origin
From the 25th century BCE, the Hui people lived in the area of present-day Xinjiang, China. They were a mixed people including many speaking Indo-European languages (Persian, Sogdian, etc.) in the Qin and Han Dynasty. Many of these people adopted a Chinese Han script surname Li (莉) alongside their other names.
