Liberation Day Monument
Liberation Day monument is a monument in Accra, Ghana. It stands in honour of several veterans of the Burma campaign, during the Second World War, in which they fought for the British Empire. After returning to Ghana, some protested peacefully and were en route to the Christiansborg Castle, the seat of government, when they were shot to death.[1]
