Linda Vester (born June 11, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American television news host. She was the host of Dayside with Linda Vester on the Fox News Channel, first joining the channel in 1999. She later left the channel in 2005 to raise her children.
Early life and education
Linda Vester is the daughter of Dorothy Vester and the late Dr. John Vester of Cincinnati, Ohio.[1] She graduated from Boston University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1987. She attended the Sorbonne in France for one semester in 1985 and was a Fulbright Scholar of Middle East affairs in Egypt for one year.[2][3][4]
Career
Vester previously worked at NBC News as an anchor/correspondent, MSNBC as host of Today in America, and WFLA-TV in Tampa, Florida. While at NBC, she hosted NBC News at Sunrise from 1996-1998 and also worked on Weekend Today, as a correspondent, from 1992-1996. She covered Operation Desert Storm, TWA Flight 800, the Centennial Olympic Park bombing, and the Rwandan Genocide.
In July 2005, she left Dayside on maternity leave and in July 2006 it was reported that she would not be returning to the Fox News Channel. Juliet Huddy and Mike Jerrick hosted Dayside until it was replaced with The Live Desk with Martha MacCallum in late 2006.
Personal life
She married Glenn Greenberg, a hedge fund director and a son of the baseball player Hank Greenberg, on May 5, 2001 in their apartment in New York City.[5]

Ms. Vester earned her B.S. magna cum laude in Journalism at Boston University in 1987. She studied as a Fulbright Scholar of Middle East Affairs in Egypt from 1988 to 1989; during this time, she frequently traveled to Gaza and the West Bank to write about the first Intifada. Ms. Vester also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris in 1985.
