The division between seasons of Pokémon is based on the English version openings of each episode and may not reflect the actual production season. The English episode numbers are based on their first airing either in syndication, on the WB Television Network or on Cartoon Network. Subsequent episodes of the English version follow the original Japanese order, except where banned episodes are shown. Inc.

Clemont and Clembot are able to do so, but Clembot is destroyed in the process. Serena, Sycamore, and Mairin infiltrate Lysandre Labs to rescue Chespie. Hoenn Champion Steven Stone and Team Rocket distract most of Team Flare's forces. Bonnie is able to reach through to Squishy with her lullaby. Squishy and Z-2 are released from Team Flare's control.

The Crystal Zygarde was headed towards Hyakkoku City to absorb the power from the Hyakkoku sundial. This will result in a planetary apocalypse. As the Kalos Gym Leaders are trying to stop the crystal, Satoshi and Alan are successful in saving Harimaron. The Crystal Zygarde is still able to function without Harimaron. They realize that Fleur-De-Lis is taking control of the crystal. With no other option, Puni-chan and Z-2 join forms with every Zygarde Cell in the world to transform into the 100% Zygarde Complete Form. The Zygarde Complete Form is able to destroy the Crystal Zygarde and kill Fleur-De-Lis in a devastating Core Enforcer move. The Zygarde Complete Form repairs the damage caused by the battle. Puni-chan shares a tearful goodbye with Eureka before returning to the planet with Z-2.

Xerosic tries to brainwash Citron to revive the goals of the now defunct Flare-dan, but he fails to do so. Xerosic ends up arrested by law enforcement. Afterwards, more remnant vines and both Zygarde appear. Satoshi ends up releasing Gekkouga in the care of Zygarde to help restore order to Kalos.

Satoshi and the gang are at Miare airport. They all allow their Pokémon to say goodbye to each other. Dedenne runs off in frustration. After Eureka convinces Dedenne to return, Serena's flight to the Hoenn region is about to take off. Serena heads to her flight and gives Satoshi a kiss before boarding her flight. With some time left before Satoshi's return flight to Kanto, he and Citron have one last Pokémon battle. Satoshi announces his arrival at home in the Kanto region.

Platane investigates the origins of the XYZ legend, and the story of a man named Jan and his love interest named Aira. A prophecy made long ago predicted that Yveltal would appear and drain all life from Kalos. Upon the arrival of Yveltal, Aira becomes fossilized as a statue while defending Jan. Afterwards, Yveltal enters into its long term sleep. Jan searches out Xerneas to restore life to Kalos. Years later, Xerneas reappears and does so. However, Aira is left as a statue. Many years later, Jan can be seen as an old and blind man. Jan discusses how he sleeps in the same spot every night. Jan talks to the Aira statue about how Xerneas and Zygarde made the forest so beautiful. Jan cuts an image of the "Z" symbol for Zygarde with a Zygarde Cell on it. Jan falls asleep for the last time. Jan says, "I want to be with her. I will sleep a little".

Eureka and Citron meet Dent while at a fishing competition. Once acquainted, they head towards Prism Tower. Eureka becomes trapped in a malfunctioning automated train thanks to a damaged control unit preventing the automated controls taking commands from the command center. With the help of Dent, Eureka and Dedenne manages to bring the train to a stop. Just as Citron and Dent arrive at the train, a Shibirudon uses Plasma Shower to make the train commence operation again. Eureka is once again taken away before being fished to safety using Dent's fishing rod and Citron's Eipam arm. Dedenne uses its cheeks to discharge excessive electricity from Shibirudon, which had been causing it pain. Shibirudon is taken back outside the metro system and dives into the river.

Specials

This is a list of special episodes of the series. In its fifteen-year run, the anime has shown various specials. In English-language broadcast, these have been played or are playing as the Pokémon Chronicles series. In Japan, the specials were shown during the series centering on Ash's journeys in that region. Many of these specials centered on legendary Pokémon or one or more of the main characters that is separate from the main cast during its corresponding series. Occasionally, a special would center on Team Rocket. Only two of the specials have centered on Ash: Mewtwo Returns, and The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon.
