List of closed parishes in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany
This is a list of closed and opened churches within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. Starting in 2006, the Diocese started the "Called to BE Church" initiative. This initiative shrank the number of parishes down to its current level of 129 in order to combat declining church enrollment, priest shortages, and demographics within the Diocese by way of canonical suppression (i.e., merging parishes and/or closing churches outright)[1]
