First Gulf War: The Salvage tug was hit by an Exocet missile fired by an Iraqi aircraft whilst at a point 50 nautical miles (93 km) north of Ras Tunara, Saudi Arabia. The ship was destroyed by the subsequent fire, all 19 crew were rescued.[14] |
