Loewen is a full line manufacturer of premium quality wood window and door systems for residential and light commercial use. Using Douglas Fir and Mahogany for its products, the company serves the high-end market and has a network of several hundred dealers across North America. Loewen currently employs over 500 people at their headquarters in Steinbach, Manitoba.

The company was founded in 1905 by Cornelius Toews Loewen who established Loewen Millwork. Among its early products were items like church pews and beekeeping equipment. From the 1930s through the 1940s the company shifted to manufacturing pre-built windows and doors to supply the post-war boom in housing construction. In the 1980s, Loewen took steps to combine the company’s old-world craftsmanship and work ethic, with the most advanced production technology available. This eventually led to Loewen being acknowledged as an industry leader in technological development. Through the 90's, Loewen expanded it's distribution into the United States and became one of the leading suppliers of high-end, custom, wood windows and doors. In 2015, the company celebrated its 110th Anniversary.
