Lolene Everett (born 12 March 1985), professionally known simply as Lolene, is a British recording artist, songwriter, manager, performer and found of 21:12 Entertainment from Bristol, England. Lolene discovered and signed Swedish teen artist Nova Miller to her label 21:12 Entertainment who she manages.

Early life

Lolene was raised by her mother and describes herself as "independent by default" for this reason. While in Bristol, Lolene began singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird[1] (vocalist for Tricky) and also collaborated with local drum and bass pioneer Roni Size.

On relocating to London, Lolene signed a development deal with BMG Records to front their latest girl group. She wrote the group's material, but left shortly after to pursue a solo career and focus on her songwriting. Lolene created her alter ego, Miss Foo Foo, while involved in London's club scene. She describes her created character as "the spoilt, extravert, heightened part of my existence."

Lolene moved to Los Angeles and signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV after being discovered by record producer J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Britney Spears) and his manager Zach Katz. Initially hired as a writer, Lolene began developing her personal sound with the help of Rotem and other producers.[2]

Music career

2009: The Electrick Hotel and Cracked Not Broken

Lolene released her debut album The Electrick Hotel in 2012.

Lolene released her debut single Sexy People in 2009. The track reached No. 5 as of Billboard Magazine Dance Club Chart 1 December 2009 issue.[3] The first official single from her album, Rich (Fake It Til You Make It) was released on 19 April 2010. An official music video was shot for the song and premiered on 29 June 2010. Lolene has mentioned in interviews that the 90s inspired Lionheart will be the next single.[4]

2012–present: She's Got a Pulse' "21:12 Entertainment'

A new EP named was released on 12 December 2012. Lolene describes it as a collection of songs celebrating the fact she is musically alive. In 2014 Lolene launched her own Stockholm based record label 21:12 Entertainment as an opportunity to sign and develop new talent. Lolene discovered Swedish teen artist Nova Miller at a dance rehearsal and signed her as the first artist on 21:12 Entertainment. Lolene gave Nova Miller her stage name as she felt it was more international than her birth name Fanny Granström. Lolene signed a collaboration with Universal records for Nova and wrote her first three singles 'Supernova' 'Singin in the rain' and 'My Perfect Christmas' Lolene continues to manage and develop Nova Miller
