Loyola High School, Hindupur in India is an educational work of the Society of Jesus among the Dalits, that goes back to the early 1990s. English language and technical skills are a part of its offerings.
History
Loyola High School draws from about 10 km of Hindupur and caters to the poorest of the poor, largely Dalits.[2] Special skills are taught, in electronics, tailoring, sericulture, horticulture, and poultry farming. Additional classes are arranged for students who are behind in their studies, and also for those preparing for the tenth grade exams. The school runs a hostel for boys studying in the English and Telugu medium school, capacity 115.
Loyola English Medium School opened in 2008 and the high school in 2012.[3]
