M-8 highway (Montenegrin: Magistralni put M-8) is a Montenegrin roadway.
History
It was built as part of the larger M-8 highway within the Yugoslav highway network, spanning Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. It connected Pljevlja with Foča in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Prijepolje, Sjenica and Novi Pazar in Serbia.[1] However, construction was never completed on the Montenegrin section of the road. Regional road R-21, running for several kilometres from the Bosnian border at Šula to Gradac, was slated to become part of the M-8 highway. However, it has not been brought up to highway standards.[2]
The Pljevlja–Gradac section, amassing to approximately 24 km, finished construction in 1955.[3]
