Mohammad Abdul Mannan (known as M. A. Mannan) is a Bangladeshi politician. He is the first elected city mayor of Gazipur City Corporation of Bangladesh.[1] He is one of the senior politicians of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Before that he was also the religious minister of Bangladesh from 2002 to 2007.[2]
In February 2015, Mannan was arrested from Baridhara in accusations of masterminding an attack on a passenger bus with a petrol-bomb in Noljem area under Gazipur Sadar Police Station.[3]
