M. Leslie Denning

Melvin Leslie Denning (1895–1986) was the Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey. On November 11, 1951, Denning became the first to use the direct distance dialing telephone facility in 1951 to contact Mayor Frank Osborne of Alameda, California.[1][2]
