The MS Jewel of the Seas is a cruise ship belonging to Royal Caribbean's Radiance class. The ship was completed in the spring of 2004 with her maiden voyage in May of that year. She is the last Radiance class ship.
As of June 2016, Jewel of the Seas sails 7 and 9-night cruises from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy to the Greek Isles. She will reposition to cruising from San Juan, Puerto Rico in November 2016 with 7, 8 and 9-night southern Caribbean voyages.[3]
In April 2016, Jewel of the Seas completed a bow-to-stern, 20M GBP[4] ($30M USD[5]) renovation that give guests new staterooms including two-bedroom family suites and 24 new balconies, three new restaurants/wine bar (Giovanni’s Table (deck 6), Vintages (deck 6), and Izumi (deck 12)), a large poolside movie screen (deck 11) and tech upgrades,[6] including improved broadband internet service.[7]
