Mad Tracks is a Micro Machines-style racing game. It was developed by Load Inc. for the PC (under Microsoft Windows) and was released in 2006. The Xbox 360 version was released on Xbox Live Arcade on May 30, 2007. This game is not to be confused with the same titled Mad Tracks racing game released in 1998 developed by Rayland Interactive.
Gameplay
Mad Tracks has a single player mode and a multiplayer mode. In single player your objective is to achieve the highest trophy (Gold) by completing objectives, from racing around a track to landing your car on a face-down dart board.
Online mode
In Mad Tracks online it is very similar to the single player. You can have up to 4 players in a single game and if you are the host you can choose the level you play at with the same objectives as single player. There is another feature allowing you to change the color of your car easily accessed by the Xbox 360 controller 'x' button, Allowing you to cycle through red, blue, yellow, green, purple, pink, black (Hajath)
Game mode and tracks
RACE - The most common game mode in which up to 8 players must race to complete up to 3 laps of a single course.

EXTREME RACE - The same as Race but these tracks seem to be more intense than the standard racing tracks. These tracks are also only available in the DLC.

TIME ATTACK - In these you must race against the clock to get the best time possible however if played in multiplayer, it will act as a standard race.

ELIMINATION - The last player in each lap is eliminated. The last player remaining is the winner.

DEATHMATCH - Players are given 3 lives and must use power-ups scattered around an elevated arena to knock each other off the edge.

BOWLING - Like bowling you must knock over a certain amount of pins to beat the opposing players. The pins are replace with either vases or penguins.

SOCCER - In teams of up to 4, players must knock the ball into the goal 3 times to win just like soccer but with cars.

CANDY HUNT - Players must find the hidden candy around a small area. The player with the most candy at the end wins.

BOBSLEIGH - Players are only given one bar of power which does not regenerate once used. They must slide down a slippery bobsleigh track. The first player to reach the finish line wins.

CROQUET - Players mustdrive through a certain amount of checkpoints to win without croquet ball.

TARGET RANGE - Players must go off of a huge jump to land in a target area just like darts.

WATER WELL - Players must race to the top of the well in an effort to escape the rising water.

OBJECT PUSH - You are place on an elevated area in which you must knock as many objects off as you can.

Special Challenges
Descriptions:Each Special Challenges Has Different Rules 8 ball (Mad Tracks) - Like pool, you must knock all your colour balls into the pockets leaving the 8-ball till last.
Beastie Balls (Mad Tracks) - You are place in a bowl area full of flying balls. You must try and avoid the balls to become the last remaining player.
Par 5 (Mad Tracks) - Like Golf, you must knock your ball into the hole before the other players. There is no par.
My Balloons (Mad Tracks) - You must capture and hold up to 3 different positions to gain points overtime and beat the opposing team.
From the Sky (Mad Tracks Encore) - You must make your way to the top of an inclined building avoiding objects that randomly fall down on top of you.
Downtown (Mad Tracks Encore) - Same as Croquet but the winner is determined on how many checkpoints you pass and not on who wins the race.
Catch Me (Mad Tracks Bravo) - Just like a game of Tag using a gem except the person who has the gem must run away to avoid it being stolen.
The Persuaders (Mad Tracks Bravo) - 2 teams: Team 1 must complete 3 laps in a certain time limit while team 2 must stop them from finishing the 3 laps.
My Way (Mad Tracks Bravo) - Checkpoints are place all around a map and each player must find and go through each checkpoint to win.

Power Ups
Also to your accomplishment are a huge selection of gadgets to which you can unlock as you pass through levels. These range from turning people over using rockets to freezing people to ice blocks.
- Rocket Launcher
- Effects: Knocks cars over or off the track if timed right.
- Disadvantages: inaccurate require lock-on to get a perfect hit.
- Ice Freeze/Ice Gun
- Effects: Freezes enemies making it harder for them to steer
- Disadvantages: They are still able to move and again requires a lock-on.
- Mortar
- Effects: Hits the Leader of the race with the same effects as the rocket launcher Also Can Push Down Multiple Car.
- Disadvantages: Takes about 10 seconds to Reshoot Leader.
- Bad Box/Evil Box
- Effects: Disguised as an evil box but if hit inverts the controls.
- Disadvantages: You could hit it yourself, it inverts the controls for moving the car so left goes right and right goes left And Screen Turns Red.
- Rocket Boost
- Effects: Faster Speed when activated And Can Wipeout Time Stop Effect.
- Disadvantages: Can knock you off if used near an edge.
- Bubble Shield
- Effects: Shields from incoming attacks and knocks enemies back if close-by to them.
- Disadvantages: Limited Time of usage.
- Barrel launcher
- Effects: Trips over enemy cars if caught in trail.
- Disadvantages: Spread around quite a lot and could affect your progress.
- Time Stop
- Effects: Slows down time, Does not stop it completely.
- Disadvantages: Rarely found in most maps And This Power Ups Will Be Ignored By Rocket Boost.
- Oil
- Effects: causes cars to slip and get off course.
- Disadvantages: It is rare for someone to run over it.
Xbox 360 Downloadable Content
There are two content packages for Mad Tracks. Each pack cost 350 MS pts, and added 15 challenges.
