Magazines.com LLC is a privately held American e-commerce company based in Franklin, TN, a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. Magazines.com retains authorizations to sell magazine subscriptions by publishers. Time Inc. is a major investor. Magazines.com has more than 7,000 magazine titles including free business-to-business magazines.

History

Magazines.com was started by Jay Clarke, working alongside Time Inc., in 1999. A sports enthusiast and former banker, Clarke had previously co-founded an entrepreneurial venture called Monorail Computer Corporation, which manufactured personal computers for consumers.

With Magazines.com, Clarke aimed to combine his passions into a coherent philosophy by which to guide his new e-commerce site. Clarke believes that his efforts have helped both publishers and readers understand and achieve their specific goals.[1]

Ranked #3966 in the Inc. 5000 in 2012,[2] Magazines.com specifically looks to provide its customers with the best prices on their publications. They claim that they update their prices daily "to reflect our lowest price approved by the publishers." Magazines.com claims that their "long-standing personal relationship with each publisher allows us to offer you great deals on your favorite subscriptions and to deliver prompt and reliable service."

In addition to their website, Magazines.com has a dedicated phone hotline. On social media, they have active Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest accounts, and they keep an active blog.[3]
