Mago Point, Waterford, Connecticut

Mago Point is a location in Waterford, Connecticut.[1] It was originally owned by the building company Titus and Bishop, who planned to make it into many 25 by 100-foot lots. Before these owners acted on their plans, Earl and Dorean Wadsworth bought them out. Now it is home to many popular marine businesses.

Mago Point is home to many successful businesses such as The Dock Restaurant,[2] Sunbeam Fleet,[3] Mago Point Marina,[4] Sunset Ribs,[5] Hillyers Bait & Tackle,[6] the Mijoy 747,[7] Mago Point Packy,[8] and the Niantic Bay Boat Valet.[9]

The Dock Restaurant

The Dock Restaurant is a seafood shack. They serve seafood anyway you can think of. The Dock Restaurant serves fried pickles.[10] Sunbeam

The Sunbeam Fleet

The Sunbeam Fleet is a sport fishing dock with a fleet of fishing boats. They have been open for over 75 years and are still a successfully running business, available for both charter fishing and open party boat fishing.[11]

Mago Point Marina

Mago Point Marina is a boat marina located in Mago Point. They offer slips to put your boats into for use during the summer.[12]

Sunset Ribs

Sunset Ribs is a restaurant and bar that features a fun atmosphere and a live band.[13]

Hillyers Bait and Tackle

Hillyers Bait and Tackle is a fishing supply shop. They sell gear ranging from small fishing hooks to full fishing rods and reels.[14]

Mijoy 747

The Mijoy 747 is an 85 foot aluminum boat. They offer private charters and open party boat fishing.[15]

Mago Point Packy

The Mago Point Packy is a package store located in Mago Point. They sell both alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.[16]

Niantic Bay Boat Valet

The Niantic Boat Valet is a building where you can store your boat. They provide security and storm protection. Although they are closed, a new owner has bought the building and plans to remake the Boat Valet into a yacht club.[17] Niantic Bay Boat Valet is now Linda Harrington's Niantic Bay Boat Valet. They are in operation, have a boating store and are a dealer of Pro-Line boats and Baja. They are also a Mercury outboard dealer and offer repair services and parts. The storage is available for summer and or winter.
