Mangrove Capital Partners is a venture capital firm based in Europe which is focused on investing in early stage information technology companies. It aims at being the first institutional investor and supports its best companies through successive rounds of financing. The firm is considered to be one of the top venture capital (VC) firms investing in early stage tech startups across Europe[1] and has been active in Israel[2] and Russia since 2007.[3] It is best known for making early investments in Skype and Wix.com[1] - which became the largest-ever IPO for an Israeli firm when it floated on Nasdaq in 2013.[4] It is also one of the most active venture capital firms in Berlin.[5]
The firm's co-founder and CEO Mark Tluszcz was among the first investors in Europe to feature on the 'Forbes Midas List of Top Technology Investors'.[6] Among its partners, the firm counts the former COO of Skype Michael Jackson (engineer) and the former Vice-Chairman of FC Barcelona Marc Ingla.[6]
Mangrove is a Luxembourg based firm, registered in Luxembourg as a fund manager operating investment vehicles established as regulated investment companies subject to the authorization and ongoing supervision of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).[7] Mangrove is the founder of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA), which now has an active member base of 60 organizations, and currently serves as its President.

Mangrove has made early investments in over 70 start-ups across the globe including Skype, Wix.com,[1] KupiVIP, Rdio, Nimbuzz, FreedomPop, Brands4Friends,[8] Spreets, OpenX, Walkme, Trustev,[9] Outfittery,[10] Lesara,[11] Helpling,[12] Enigma Digital Limited and Echobox.[13]

The firm was founded in 2000 by Mark Tluszcz, Gerard Lopez and Hans-Jürgen Schmitz.[14]
