Manipal University Jaipur is a private university. It is the fifth University established under Manipal Group. As a respect to the invitation by the Govt. of Rajasthan to give Rajasthan a multi disciplinary exposure through a private university in the province.[1] Various courses and programs are being offered by the university like Engineering, Medical, Hospitality, Allied Health, Management, Communication, Jewellery Management etc. to enhance the interest of students in all fields. The university is located near Dehmi Kalan village, Tehsil Sanganer, Jaipur district. It is recognized by UGC as a private university under section 3 of UGC Act 1956.[2][3]
History
The establishment of this new university was done in year 2011 keeping in mind the growing interest of students in all disciples making it a private multi disciplinary university in the state. Manipal University Group began by starting a medical college named Kasturba Medical College in 1953. The story continued by establishing engineering colleges, dental colleges, pharmacy and other various colleges under affiliation of different universities in 1957. The current President and Chancellor of the University is Padma Bhushan Dr Ramdas M Pai.[4] The Ministry of Human Resources Development,Government of India, under the 1956 UGC Act, Section 3 gave MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) was given a status of a deemed university during the time when the existence of professional institutions was limited to five. Today, the empire consists of 20 institutes including medical, dental,allied health, architecture, engineering, pharmacy, management, nursing,communication, hotel management,information science, biotechnology etc., offering Bachelors’, Masters’ and Doctoral degrees in all such disciples. Education is being provided to over 17,000 students in the University and its constituents. Universities Alumni base is of over 65,000 including students all over the world. Manipal University has gone international with branch campuses at Malaysia, Dubai and Antigua in the Caribbean Island and also some domestic campuses at Bangalore and Sikkim which even gives the facility of distance education.
Campus & Location
The location of Manipal University Jaipur is near Dehmi Kalan village, Tehsil Sanganer, Jaipur. About 121 acres (0.49 km2) of land is approved by The Government of Rajasthan for the establishment of the campus at outskirts of Jaipur. It is built on land of 154 acres which is fully WiFi enabled.

MUJ has signed MOU with n + i, a network of seventy frontline French Institutions. It enables students to do their project work/ training at any of these institutions in France and have an international experience. Interested UG/ PG students may visit[17] to learn about various institutions, programmes offered by them, scholarships/ financial incentives available and the application procedure. One may also focus on funding opportunities by Indian Institutions/ industries to support the project work.

Collaboration with cima is intended to connect our B.Com & BBA students with the world’s largest professional body of management accountants. It enables students to use the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and be part of a truly global network.[18] Students will learn the various skills for strategic advice, risk management and decision making. As professionally trained Management Accountants, they will be capable of advising on business strategy and risk management as well as develop a more rewarding career for themselves. CIMA offers five levels of courses. It is desirable that students complete all levels and become a members the international professional body yet students have the option to exit the course on completion of each level. CIMA accordingly awards certificates to the students on successful completion of the prescribed papers at each level.
- IEEE
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional association with its corporate office in New York City and its operations center in Piscataway, New Jersey. It was formed in 1963 from the amalgamation of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers. Today it is the world's largest association of technical professionals with more than 400,000 members in chapters around the world. Its objectives are the educational and technical advancement of electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering and allied disciplines.
IEEE-MUJ is the student Branch of IEEE Coordinated by the Students.
- IAESTE
The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)[19] founded in 1948 at Imperial College, London is an independent, non-profit and non-political organization for operational and consultative relationship with several agencies of United Nations. With headquarter at Austria, it has presently grown to include over 85 countries. Annually IASETE exchange more than 6000 students, playing a key role in the professional growth and development of students. The international organization focuses on exchanging students for technical work experience abroad. Students gain relevant technical training lasting from 4 weeks to 18 months. IAESTE aims to connect students with real work environment, industries, research institutes, employers, consulting firms and laboratories in foreign countries. It provides university students with technical experience and culturally enriches them and their host communities.
IAESTE LC MUJ[20] is the local association body of IAESTE INDIA run by a student governing body.[21]

Hostels on single and twin sharing basis are situated just opposite to the college campus. They are centrally Air-conditioned and have separate accommodation for boys and girls.[23][24]

Sports and Games
A Department of Physical Education has been established at MUJ for organizing sports and games events at Inter-collegiate, Inter-University, district, state and national levels to encourage athletes and athleticism.
A good infrastructure has also been established in place to host outdoor Games like Cricket, Tennis, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Hockey. Indoor infrastructure like gyms, Shuttle badminton with wooden flooring, courts/facilities for Squash, Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc. will also be ready in due time.
Necessary planning for Swimming-pools and Basketball courts with Flood-lights has also been done.
