María José de las Mercedes Yéllici Sánchez is a pageant titleholder, was born in Madrid, Spain on May 12, 1945, and grew up in Caracas, Venezuela. Yéllici was the Miss Venezuela titleholder for 1969, and was the official representative of Venezuela to the Miss Universe 1969 pageant held in Miami Beach, Florida, United States, on July 19, 1969.[1]
She resigned on October, 1969, because she would marry three months after her coronation. First runner-up Marzia Piazza of Departamento Vargas succeeded her.[2]
