Marley Sharp was an Australian actor, director and musician, known for his acting roles in Valentine's Day (2007 film), Stone Bros. ,The Circuit (2007) and Redfern Now
Personal life & acting career
Prior to his acting career, Sharp applied his skills as a traditional Aboriginal dancer at the renowned Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Cairns, Queensland. He then found a new passion for radio presenting with Goolarri Media Enterprises in Broome, Western Australia, which ultimately led him to being discovered for his first acting role on SBS series The Circuit, in 2007. This was closely followed by a key role in the ABC Telemovie Valentines Day. To highlight a massive 2007 for Sharp, he finished off the year with a featured role in feature film Stone Bros. directed by Richard Frankland. In 2008, whilst acting in the second series of The Circuit, Sharp managed to fit in being an extra on feature film Bran Nue Dae directed by Rachel Perkins.
For the past three years Sharp has dedicated his time to his family and young children foremost, whilst also juggling an active role as a musician and working in cultural development in and around his community. Another major focus for Sharp is his new company, where he is taking steps towards producing and directing his own films.
